Key Features

01

One large place to start

A dominant Start reading action begins live camera reading. Pause and Resume stay large, high contrast, and easy to find.

02

Private, offline OCR

English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese recognition data is included in the native app. Camera images and recognized text are not uploaded for OCR.

03

Uses the voice on your device

PrintLark speaks with a matching installed iOS or Android voice and provides spoken guidance for framing, blur, glare, and light.

04

Adapts to the hardware

Essential, Enhanced, and Max profiles reveal only the continuous, multi-page, and precision tools the device can run reliably.

05

Useful readings stay nearby

Replay, share, save, or delete recognized text and reopen recent readings from the local Library.

FAQ

Does PrintLark upload my photos?

No. The Version 1 reading pipeline performs OCR on the device. Camera frames, selected photos, recognized text, and local history are not sent to Mobpage for recognition.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The five native OCR language packs are bundled. Recognition, device speech with an installed voice, settings, and saved-reading playback work without a connection. Ads, purchases, optional voice downloads, and the website require connectivity.

Which languages are included?

English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese for OCR and the app interface. Speech availability depends on matching voices installed on the device.

Is an account required?

No.

Does the free app contain ads?

The native free app may show a compact Google AdMob native ad after every third eligible completed reading, with a maximum of three per day. There are no interstitial, app-open, rewarded, banner, or spoken ads. Plus removes ads. The web app does not load the AdMob SDK.

What does Plus add?

Plus adds multi-page organization and expanded history, enables precision OCR on capable devices, and removes ads. Annual and one-time lifetime options are sold through the platform store.

The core reader and all five launch languages are available without Plus. Free native users may see a small, silent native ad after eligible completed readings, never during camera use, OCR, speech, onboarding, or errors. PrintLark Plus removes ads and adds developer-created tools such as capable-device precision OCR, multi-page organization, and expanded history. Store pricing is shown by Apple or Google.

OCR can make mistakes, especially with glare, blur, unusual layouts, handwriting, or stylized type. Important numbers, warnings, medical instructions, and legal or financial information should be checked against the original source or with a trusted person. PrintLark is not a navigation, emergency, or medical device.
