FTP Server (Android package hk.ithkservice.ftp) turns your phone into a WiFi FTP server so you can move your own files to a computer on the same network. There is no account, no cloud, no advertising SDK and no analytics. This policy explains how information is handled.
What the app does not collect
We do not collect, upload or share your files, file names, server credentials, IP addresses, or usage history with the developer or any third party. There is no sign-in, no developer backend, no ads and no trackers.
File transfer uses standard FTP on your local WiFi or hotspot. Traffic stays on your network. FTP itself is not encrypted on the LAN.
Information stored on your device
Settings you choose — username, password, port, home folder, anonymous access and auto-start — are stored only in the app's private storage on your Android device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
The server address shown in the app is your device's local network address. It is displayed so you can connect from another device you control; it is not sent to us.
Storage and background permissions
All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) is used only so the FTP server can list and serve files you choose across internal storage, SD card and USB drives. Protected system folders and other apps' private data remain locked by Android.
A foreground data-sync service runs only while you have started the server, so transfers can continue with the screen off. It stops when you stop the server.
Children and contact
FTP Server is a general-audience file-transfer utility and is not directed to children under 13.
