Kinship Calculator ("the app", also known as 姨媽姑姐 - 家族稱謂) is a Chinese kinship-term calculator that runs on your device. Relationship lookups happen fully offline. We do not operate an account system or backend for the calculator, and we do not collect the relationship chains you enter. The only third-party data processing comes from the advertising SDK described below.
Information processed on your device
Relationship queries and results: calculated and shown only on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
Calculation history: the app may keep your last 50 lookups locally so you can re-run them; you can clear history in the app. History is not uploaded to us.
Preferences such as language, gender setting, and auto-speak: stored locally on your device.
Text-to-speech: uses the device's speech capabilities to pronounce terms; audio is not sent to us.
What we do not collect
We do not require an account or sign-in. We do not receive your kinship queries, family information, or personal profile from the calculator itself. There is no analytics backend operated by us for app usage.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version may show banner and full-screen ads using Google AdMob. Ads are configured as non-personalized (npa=1). The app does not request App Tracking Transparency and does not use data for tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies.
To serve ads, the AdMob SDK may process device and usage information under Google's terms — including approximate (coarse) location derived from IP address, advertising/product interaction data, and crash or performance diagnostics. Where required, the app shows a consent form (Google UMP) before ads load.

Purchases
The "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Apple App Store billing (or the applicable store on your platform). We do not receive or store your payment card details — the store handles the transaction.
Children
Kinship Calculator is rated for a general audience (including family use such as teaching children kinship terms). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising, when shown, follows the non-personalized configuration described above.
Data retention and deletion
The calculator keeps no personal kinship data on any server operated by us. Local preferences stay on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data. For advertising data held by Google, use your device's privacy and ad settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at the same URL.
