Better Camera ("the app") is an Android camera app for photos and videos. This policy explains how the app accesses and handles information on your device and through third-party services.
Camera, microphone, photos and videos
The app requests camera access to take photos and record videos. Microphone access is used only to record audio when you record a video.
The app saves photos and videos on your device and accesses device media so you can review content from the camera interface. Camera, microphone, photo and video content is processed locally and is not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
Location
If you enable location tagging, the app uses device location to add geographic coordinates to photo metadata. Location tagging can be disabled in camera settings. The app does not upload precise location to a developer-operated server.
Advertising services may infer approximate location from your device's IP address as described below.
Advertising
The free version may display ads through Google AdMob. Google Mobile Ads may collect or share: IP address (which may estimate approximate location), app interactions such as launches and ad views, diagnostic information, and device or other identifiers including the Android advertising identifier where available.

In-app purchases
The app offers a one-time purchase to remove ads (hk.ithkservice.bettercamera.ad). Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles the transaction.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Google Play and Google AdMob for the purposes described above. We may disclose information if legally required or necessary to protect users, rights or services.
Data security and retention
Photos, videos and optional location metadata remain on your device until you delete them. Information handled by Google services is retained according to Google's applicable policies. The app does not provide user accounts and does not maintain a developer-operated user database.
Your choices
You can revoke camera, microphone, media or location permissions in Android settings; disable location tagging in the app; purchase the ad-free upgrade; reset or delete the Android advertising identifier; manage Google advertising choices; and delete photos and videos using the app, gallery or device storage tools.
Children
Better Camera is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements or third-party services change. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when material changes are made.
